Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) is venturing outside of TV. The sexy star just signed a deal to help launch a new social media platform for celebrity and fan interactions, and it sounds exciting for all TVD fans. Created by LX Ventures, the platform is called Mobio INsider and will give fans a more direct pipeline to their favorite celebs.
According to Stockhouse, the platform will allow “celebrities and fans to interactive on an advanced level, with fans being able to ask the celeb for images, videos, and more, with fans polling suggestions to see which they most agree with.” Paul is only one of the celebs who has signed on as a “social media influencer” to help launch the platform, set for unveiling on December 1. Other celebs who will be involved with Mobio INsider: Scott Disick, Romeo, and Ke$ha.
Paul brings his 2.4 million Twitter followers to Mobio INsider with his agreement “not only to use the platform, but push the platform to millions of followers.” His addition to the project seems to already be having an effect, as the LX stock jumped 5 percent following the announcement of Paul’s involvement. (Something we would like to call “The Wesley Bump.”) This seems like an exciting social media project to be a part of, and we think it is good news for Paul. And, depending on the quality of the platform, it could be good news for us fans, too!
SECRETS OF THE PAST — When Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Katherine (Nina Dobrev) have the same dream that Stefan (Paul Wesley) is in danger and desperately needs their help, they convince Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to help them find Stefan. However, their plans are thwarted by a mysterious young woman named Tessa (guest star Janina Gavankar) who seems to know everything about Stefan’s history. In flashbacks to a distant time and place, Tessa reveals the shocking secrets in her past and what she has planned for the future. She also has a disturbing message for Damon about his own future. Silas (Paul Wesley) forces an unwilling accomplice to help him search for Katherine, leading to a confusing and life-threatening situation for Matt (Zach Roerig). Finally, Silas reveals the reason he’s determined to find Katherine, and Damon and Elena face a disturbing new reality. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Melinda Hsu Taylor & Rebecca Sonnenshine (#503).
Man, that Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) has a type. His ex Tessa (Janina Gavankar, True Blood) is coming to The Vampire Diaries Season 5, and according to TVLine, she’s just as nasty as Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev).
The ancient vamp returns to Mystic Falls, looking for her ex and his brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder). One reason she’s definitely a b-i-t-c-h? She steals Damon’s daylight ring.
If that’s not enough of a tease for you, we have another tidbit from director Joshua Butler, who revealed the title of Vampire Diaries Season 5, Episode 2: “True Lies.” He tweeted, “Awesome. Thanks to @IMDb, I can stop calling #TVD 5×02 by its Season/Episode number. #TrueLies #DirectorPride.”
There’s not much we know about this episode yet (other than that it’s named after a 1994 Schwarzenegger film, we presume). But Joshua is just the best and has previously tweeted two intriguing photos, one of a human Katherine and the other of what looks like a kiss between Damon and Elena.
But don’t expect to see Tessa in “True Lies.” the “nobleman’s daughter” won’t appear until Season 5, Episode 3. And wouldn’t you know it? IMDb has that episode’s title, too. According the site, here are the names of the first five episodes:
Season 5, Episode 1, “I Know What You Did Last Summer”
Season 5, Episode 2, “True Lies”
Season 5, Episode 3, “Original Sin”
Season 5, Episode 4, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”
Season 5, Episode 5, “Monster’s Ball”
Since the last three haven’t been verified yet, we won’t get too excited, but suffice it say we’re expecting an elegant-yet-terrifying soiree in Season 5, Episode 5.
The season finale of “10 On Top” airs tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV with a special “Back to School” episode. Host Lenay Dunn says goodbye to summer and welcomes the new school year with a sneak peek into the new season of “The Vampire Diaries.”

Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley has revealed that playing a darker character gives him a high.
The 31-year-old, who plays vampire Stefan Salvatore in the supernatural drama, relishes in showing off his acting chops as he explores his alter-ego’s darker side.
“We all selfishly want to do different things, we want to do versatile roles, so for me it’s a fantastic opportunity to do something else. It’s really interesting. I’ve been acting for a fairly decent amount of time and I’ve played some dark characters,” he said.
“I did a series where I played a werewolf who was the alpha male jock bully, so it’s not like this is completely foreign to me – not that I’m going to be an alpha male jock bully, but just to not be this noble heroic being. I also look at it as like a narcotic: I have the freedom and the liberty to do whatever I want because I am completely immersed in this blood that has shifted me.
“It’s like being drunk and making a fool of yourself. We all do it, you can’t help it,” he added.
Paul said it is more fun being a bad boy, saying: “It is. I’m not going to lie, it’s a little easier when you’re not crying all the time. I hate to say it, but those scenes can become taxing.”
